What is Paragon Sciences?

Paragon Sciences is an academic and scientific mentorship platform that helps students build research readiness, scientific confidence, and stronger pathways toward future academic opportunities.

Who are the bootcamps for?

We run two bootcamps. The Young Scientists Bootcamp is for students ages 12–18, taught in two age-matched cohorts: ages 12–15 (grades 7–9) and ages 16–18 (grades 10–12). The Biomedical Research Bootcamp is for undergraduates and recent graduates interested in biomedical science, pre-medical studies, and related fields.

When do the next bootcamps start?

Dates for both bootcamps are being finalized. The next Young Scientists Bootcamp will start in early 2027. Sign up for a free intro session or follow us on social media and we'll share exact dates as soon as they're confirmed.

Do students need previous research experience?

No. The bootcamps are designed to help students understand how research works from the ground up. Curiosity, consistency, and willingness to learn matter more than prior experience.

Are the programs online?

Yes. The bootcamps are designed as virtual programs so students can join from different countries and time zones.

How do I sign up for a free intro session?

Each track has its own sign-up form. Click "Sign Up for a Free Intro Session," so we can send you the most relevant information.

What will students leave the bootcamp with?

Students leave with a stronger understanding of scientific thinking, research design, evidence, and communication, plus a finished capstone project or presentation depending on the track. Every student who completes the bootcamp receives a certificate of completion, and the strongest projects earn a Distinction certificate.

Is the Germany Medical School Pathway open now?

Not yet. The Germany Medical School Pathway is coming soon. Students interested in studying medicine in Germany can sign up for updates through the pathway page.

How much does a bootcamp cost?

Tuition depends on the country you live in, across four tiers. The Young Scientists Bootcamp ranges from $50 to $300 and the Biomedical Research Bootcamp from $100 to $300. See the full list and find your price on our Tuition & Financial Aid page. When you create an account, the student portal shows the price that applies to you automatically.

Do you offer financial aid?

Yes. Need-based financial aid is available for both bootcamps in every pricing tier. Apply through our financial aid application at least 72 hours before the registration deadline. If you're approved, we'll email you a personal discount code to use when you register in the student portal.

What happens if a student misses assignments?

In the Young Scientists Bootcamp, each weekly assignment builds a piece of the final project, so keeping up matters. Students may miss up to three assignments, and only if they let their instructor know in advance. A student who misses more than three assignments, or misses one without notice, will be removed from the bootcamp.

Can parents follow their child's progress?

Yes. Families in the Young Scientists Bootcamp can opt into Parent Support to follow their child's performance throughout the bootcamp, including attendance, assignment progress, and instructor feedback. Updates are sent by email or WhatsApp, whichever you prefer. Mention it when you register or email [email protected] to set it up.

Is there a syllabus I can look at?

Yes. Download the Young Scientists Bootcamp syllabus (PDF) for the session-by-session learning goals, schedule, and policies. Enrolled students receive a detailed syllabus with weekly assignments. The Biomedical Research Bootcamp syllabus will be published once dates are confirmed.

Do you help with competitions, research journals, or future applications?

The bootcamps are designed to give students the foundation to pursue future opportunities more confidently. Strong projects may be developed further for competitions, research journals, summer programs, or mentoring opportunities.
